Calliope sat there, her face growing red as the waitress set down their food. She eagerly kissed him back, hoping to drown her embarrassment in their kiss. For the most part it worked, her face only a little pink when she pulled away. “I g-guess we sh-should eat this f-food we ordered.” She said, laughing. “And I v-vaguely r-remember this b-being a challenge of wh-who can e-eat the most, so I th-think we ought to have a p-prize for the w-winner, don’t y-you?” She pecked his cheek. She knew she would probably lose, so she hoped they would agree on a prize that was good for the both of them.
He laughed with her, “If you insist, we shall eat!” He let go of her so that she could sit back in her seat. “Oh I’ll think of some kind of prize for you- I mean, the winner.” he winked.
He took a bite of his food, swallowed, and then pointed to her cheeks, “Now, I don’t remember you wearing a light pink blush when we left.” he teased.
She kissed him back, happily, sliding her tongue into his mouth. He made her so much bolder sometimes. She pulled back, breathing heavily, letting a quiet “I love you, too” escape her lips before kissing the corner of his mouth. She breathed it once more before fully reconnecting their lips. Her hands started to meander their way up into his hair and their kissing deepened. She pressed herself close to him, needing to feel him as close as possible.
His hands were pressed on her lower back, holding her to him as he let her tongue reenter his mouth. He liked this new boldness. Not that he didn’t like the more timid Calliope, but when her more daring side came out he wouldn’t complain. He started to forget where they were when he heard a small “Ahem” from behind Calliope. He opened his eyes and pulled away from her for a second. He thanked the waitress and then motioned for her to just lay the food on the table with his eyes, and then when she left he kissed Calliope once more.
Her face broke into an impish grin as she walked over to him quickly crawling into his lap. People would stare, but it wouldn’t necessarily be because she was crazy. Most people in the pub would just see two teenagers in love. She could stand being stared at for that. She was certainly unashamed of that. She wrapped her arms around his neck, murmuring, “I’m a R-Ravenclaw. What can I s-say? W-We have good ideas,” before leaning in and kissing him earnestly.
"I’d say," he agreed as his arms snaked around her waist. He kissed her back eagerly. Happy to have her in his arms yet again. He always seemed to miss her. Even if it’s only for a little while. He’s never felt like this before. He swiped his tongue across her lips and then pecked them, slipping a small "I love you" out when their lips separated. He squeezed his hand on her side as he retured to kissing her more passionately, not hiding the smile on his lips.
She ordered a double bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries and a large Butterbeer as well, all the while keeping her eyes on Jasper to try and gauge his expression. She drummed her fingers on the table as they sat there, waiting. “Y-You know w-we really ought t-to g-get some k-kissing d-done before we stuff our f-faces.” She flushed brightly at her bold suggestion but she really had missed him, and had not kissed him enough.
He raised his eyebrows and flashed her a smirk as he leaned one arm over the back of his chair. “So was it taking all it you had in you to not come tackle me over?” he chuckled “But that is a very good suggestion,” he gestured her over to his lap as his grin grew. He knew that people would stare but they weren’t at a booth, though they were in the back anyway, and besides, he and Calliope had to be used to people staring. He missed her as well and couldn’t wait to get his hands around her.
“Please. Girls are the hardest things to figure out! How do you even understand how other girls work?! You’re very complex, so I have to cover every base.” he joked, gently bumping her side with his hip. He allowed her to push them both towards the restaurant. He opened the door for them and the waiter got them their seat and left to get them some water. He smirked at Calliope from across the table. “So since you’re starving, are you going to scarf down all the food in here? Because if you don’t, I might.” he raised an eyebrow, almost challengingly.
“It’s r-really simple. I d-don’t. I c-can’t figure myself out h-half the time. Other p-people? Psh, I d-don’t even try!” She bumped her hip back, giggling. She murmured her thanks when he held the door open for her. Once they were seated and he asked her how much she was going to eat she raised her eyebrow. “Is th-that a ch-challenge? Because I am r-really, really hungry. I d-don’t know if you c-can even come c-close to how s-starving I am.” She giggled. She doubted she would hold up in an eating contest against Jasper, but it sure would be fun to try.
He chuckled “Oh it’s on!” He looked over the menu and decided to go with the turkey leg and potatoes for now, with a large Butterbeer to drink. When the waitress came back over, he let her know of his order, and waited for Calliope to choose what she wanted.
She rolled her eyes as he put the decision up to her. “Th-Three B-Broomsticks. I n-need real f-food. Did y-you not just h-hear my stomach? It was s-so loud!” She giggled, and leaned against him to push them in the direction of the Three Broomsticks.

You can ask me anything and I’ll answer honestly, but only with yes or no.
